For all of the exercises below, be sure to:
Work slowly and methodically for 100% accuracy. Limit
key signatures to 0-4 accidentals to start.
When you feel ready, try 5-7 accidentals.
Use your performance on Exam 1 to identify areas of strength
and weakness.
I am happy to help you find exercises that address specific

You do
not need to complete all of the exercises, just work on
exercises you find helpful.
You
will have the opportunity to return to these exercises again
in CAI Activity #3.

Half-diminished seventh (dm); Diminished seventh (dd)
Work on the
following Computer-Assisted Instructon (CAI) exercises as
described in the CAI Activity #2 assignment posted in
Blackboard.
Ex.
2.2: Roman Numeral Spelling {Teoria}
Given a notated scale degree (as an
upper-case Roman numeral) and a scale (major or
minor), spell the triad associated with that scale
degree
Work in root position only. Limit
key signatures to 4 accidentals. Practice the
major scale first. Then try natural minor,
harmonic minor and melodic minor.
