Not Speaking

Not Speaking (1993, rev. 2003) was written for saxophonists Mark Engebretson and Susan Fancher, and percussionist Anders Åstrand. The world premiere took place in Folkhögskolan, Sweden on December 4, 1993. This revised edition features a new vibraphone part with more practical technical requirements. The premiere of the revised edition was given by Clifford Leaman, Jamal Rossi and Scott Herring at the North American Saxophone Alliance (NASA) Region 7 Conference and featured at the 2003 World Saxophone Congress later in the year. A commercial recording of Not Speaking is available on the 2006 Red Clay Records release Louder Than Words {Amazon}.
